Applicants for U.S. visas in China should take note:
H and L visa processing in China will be consolidated at major consular posts in Beijing, Guangzhou and Shanghai after March 1, 2019: Citing the volume and complexity of H-1B and L-1 visa applications in China, the U.S. Consulates in Chengdu and Shenyang (historically lower volume consular posts) will discontinue processing H and L visas after March 1, 2019.
Holiday schedule reminder: In celebration of the Lunar New Year, all U.S. Embassies/Consulates in China are closed February 4-7, 2019.
